Review
Mawkish, unlikely, and at times downright silly, Leconte's comedy still manages to please at times through the charm of its key players: Dany Boon copes well with a slightly idiotic role, while the wonderful Daniel Auteuil brings his natural elegance and charm to make an initially unlikeable character increasingly sympathetic. Unfortunately, the last half hour of the movie descends into predictable farce when fact-fiend Bruno ends up on the French version of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?, with only one lifeline left: Phone A Friend. But who could he possibly call?
